Its that amazing time to introduce a new kind of blog post, a review on not just clothing or beauty products like plenty of other blogs out there..
A review on a lovely little bit of technology that I've had the honour of trying out and it most definitely will be a travel companion. (yay friend).
If you haven't already seen or heard of them, I'm now going to introduce the UE Boom to you all. Its a lovely gadget a.k.a a speaker.. A wireless bluetooth 360° one at that.. woo no wires to get frustrated with!
It looks like this.. yes its very attractive, look at them curves. And the size, just everything. It also comes in many different colours and designs to fit any kind of personality.
Yep, you can admire it right now.
Anyway.. close your mouth and stop dribbling.. I want to tell you as much as I can about this speaker. Because it really deserves an in depth review.
So when I received it in the post, it arrived in the coolest box ever, it was in a cylinder shaped box, with a comparment that opens and inside the speaker fits perfectly. Either side (the top and bottom of the cylinder) are two compartments, one for the instructions and charging lead, the other for the charger plug which folds up nice and small! So that alone really got me a bit more excited than it should have - I'm a sucker for perfectly designed packaging. You know when everything just fits? So yeah. I took the speaker out of the box, figured out how to connect my phone to it, which was easy peasy squeezy lemons.
I had to test it with a few different songs to notice just how good it was. I mean, it was really good. I was expecting standard bluetooth speaker capabilities. But this speaker produced REALLY good sound. It has bass.. BASS. Oh how technology has come along since speakers used to sound like they were in a tin can vibrating. As they state on their website:

This means perfect sound and everything you could need from such a compact speaker.
Another amazing thing about this speaker is that it is stain and WATER RESISTANT << that shocked me. If you get water on it, it doesn't damage it! Bonus. The battery has a 15 hour life which will give you music from dusk til' dawn- just what any social moments need. An unlimited supply of music that anybody can connect to (Even two people at the same time so you and your friends can take turns with which music is played. The speakers can also be synced together so if two of you have UE Booms, you can create even louder music to really get the party going.
These speakers really are about making music social, instead of always having your headphones in, the speaker replaces those and you can share great songs with people. Or maybe just keep those embarrassing ones to yourself in the comfort of your own bedroom.. Everyone has their guilty pleasures!

London's Run Dem Crew, were enlisted to show the durability and quality of the Ultimate Ears UE Boom in the twilight of London City streets. Competing against two other crews and a bunch of rather unusual individuals, they use their speakers in a relay race across the city. It's really worth a watch and shows you just how versatile they are! From being dropped, getting covered in water, being clipped onto bikes and clothing etc. The possibilities are endless. I've got mine hanging from a hook on my ceiling as I've found the sound is the best with it up there.
